Community Partnerships

The New Teaching Academy of  RRHS looks for every opportunity to make a difference to our community, and all who inhabit it. By having that growth mindset, we have partnered with local schools, businessses, and organizations that share our common goals and interests to improve the way we view education. Check out our community partnership credentials below!

Hudson Elementary School

Hudson Elementary School was founded in 1966. In the almost five decades since their founding, they have always strived to uphold the proud academic traditions of Pasco County. Hudson is a suburban community 25 miles north of the Tampa-St. Petersburg metro areas. Hudson Elementary is a unique school, which lies on the mostly rural edge of western Pasco County, two miles from the Gulf of Mexico.

The NTA has worked with Hudson for aout three years, and each year brought new memories each time around. The NTA students go into the classrooms, engage with the scholars, and help any scholar in need of improving their educational needs. In addition to this remarkable contribution, Raynee Meek rolls out her philanthropy project, Books By The Beach with Hudson Elementary School. This philanthropy project has made scholars appreciate reading on a higher level, along with giving them a tour around their local community! Interested in this? Pasco Education Foundation

The Pasco Education Foundation, Inc. was established in February of 1991 to increase involvement in Pasco County's public schools, to channel funds from the private sector into programs enhancing public education, to encourage imaginative and creative approaches to teaching, and to recognize and reward excellence in education. The Foundation is a direct support, nonprofit, 501(c) 3 organization providing support for programs where tax dollars cannot be used and where budgets fall short.

Since its inception, many committed individuals, businesses and organizations have contributed time and money to support the Foundation's work, enabling the Foundation to disburse nearly $1,000,000 each year to fund creative teaching grants, scholarships, awards, program support, staff development and educational materials to the students and staff of Pasco County Schools. In addition, numerous in-kind contributions and supplies, as well as volunteer hours are donated by local businesses and civic-minded individuals and organizations to help achieve their mission.

Marjorie's Hope

Marjorie's Hope operates a "Clothing Closet" for school age children between the Back to School Backpack seasons. To date, the closet has been operated out of Debi's garage and all clothing items are given to: Teachers, Social Workers, School Resource Officer's (SRO's) and occasionally a private individual who has been recommended by a school administrator.

Their goal and future vision for this clothing closet is to have an actual site to set up the closet in retail fashion to allow student's the privacy to "shop for free" by appointment and who have been referred by a teacher/school administrator, social worker, SRO, clergy, Guardian ad Litem, etc. This would allow any student referred the opportunity to select 5 pairs of pants, 5 shirts, 5 underwear and 5 pairs of socks. Included in this "retail clothes closet" would be backpacks, school supplies, hygiene items and nutritional snacks for students registering later in the school year and/or who have run out of supplies.
